Network Classification
Network are classified according to their geographical coverage and size. The two most common Network Classification are Local Area network (LANs) and wide area network (WANs). Metropolitan Area Network (MANs).
LAN (Local Area Network)
A Local Area Network "LAN" is a network that is confined to a Relatively small area. It is generally limited to a geographic such as a writting lab, or building. On most LANs is a cable are used to connect the Network interface cards (NIC) in each computer.
WAN (Wide Area Network)
Wide Area Network "WAN" Connect large geographic area, Using a WAN, Schools without paying enormous phone bills.
