Bombing at anarkali bazaar

Three people, including a child, were killed in an explosion at Anar Kali Bazaar near Lohari Gate in Lahore.


Another was killed at Mayo Hospital in the explosion in Anar Kali Bazaar, bringing the death toll to three. 

According to the hospital administration, 25 injured people are being treated in the blast, 2 wounded were discharged from the hospital, 3 women are also among the injured, while the condition of 3 injured is critical. 


Attacking People

The bomber struck just after 1:45 p.m. According to the deputy commissioner, the explosion took place around 1:45 in the morning. Among the dead was a 9-year-old boy, identified as Absar, a resident of Karachi. The parents were also injured. Police cordoned off the area after the explosion and launched an investigation. After the initial investigation, a bomb was placed near the shops that exploded, causing a strong explosion and a well about one and a half feet deep. Explosives were used. 


According to sources, the explosion took place at the entrance to the Anarkali bazaar and the bomb was placed near shops near a private bank. Video footage of the explosion has also appeared showing a strong explosion in the parking lot outside the bank, after which motorcycles and wheelbarrows were set on fire. The explosion shook nearby buildings, broke windows and destroyed streets, flames devoured stalls and motorcycles, and the explosion could be heard far and wide. The wounded said they were busy with their work when a sudden explosion occurred, and then they lost consciousness. 


A red alert has been issued for five cities

federal interior minister Sheikh Rashid said investigations are underway to find out who was involved in the explosion in Lahore. 


Case of blast registered in CTD police station

A case of blast has been registered in CTD police station on the complaint of SHOCTD.


According to police, 3 unknown terrorists have been mentioned in the FIR.


The Prime Minister called for a report

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed regret over the loss of precious human lives in the Lahore blast and directed to provide immediate medical aid to the injured.


Prime Minister Imran Khan has demanded a report of the incident from the Punjab government.


The preliminary investigation report

which was submitted to the Prime Minister of Punjab, IG Punjab, provided the Prime Minister of Punjab, Usman Bazdar, with a preliminary investigation report into the explosion. According to initial reports, the explosion was caused by an artefact placed. One and a half kilograms of explosives were used for the explosion. One building and eight motorcycles were damaged in the explosion.
